    e-Rawanna Check App:-

    The e-Rawanna Check App is developed and maintained by the Directorate of Geology & Mining, Government of Uttarakhand. This Privacy Policy outlines the limited data handling, legal safeguards, and misuse protection related to the use of the App.

    1. Purpose of the App

    The App has one specific function:
    To verify whether a vehicle number has a valid e-Transit Pass (e-Rawanna) issued by the Government of Uttarakhand.

    1. Information Collected
    • The App collects no personal data.
    • The vehicle number entered by the user is not stored on the device or server.
    • No user profile, location, contact list, or device data is collected.
    1. Data Usage
    • The vehicle number is used temporarily to fetch pass verification details from official government servers.
    • The information is used only for real-time verification.
    • No data is used for analytics, marketing, or tracking.

     

    1. Misuse Prevention & Legal Liability

    Users are strictly prohibited from:

    • Using the App for unauthorized surveillance, profiling, or harassment.
    • Entering random or unrelated vehicle numbers for wrongful purposes.
    • Misrepresenting the verification results.
    • Using displayed information for illegal transport, evasion, or manipulation.

    Any misuse may lead to legal action under relevant State and Central laws, including but not limited to:

    • Indian Penal Code (IPC)
    • Information Technology Act, 2000
    • Uttarakhand Mineral Rules & related enforcement provisions

    The Directorate is not responsible for:

    • Misinterpretation or misuse of verification results.
    • Actions taken by a user based on incomplete or incorrect input.
    1. Third-Party Sharing
    • No data is shared with private companies, advertisers, or external entities.
    • Data may be accessed only by authorized government systems for lawful monitoring, audit, or security.
    1. Limitation of Use (Disclaimer)

    The verification result is informational only.

    The Government of Uttarakhand:

    • Is not liable for any loss arising from App use.
    • Reserves the right to modify or disable the App at any time.
    • May update the backend data without prior notice.
    1. Changes to Policy

    This Privacy Policy may be amended periodically.
